Dr. Otto Lossen – Der Fotograf der Weissenhofsiedlung 1927

From 14 March to 19 July 2026, discover the new exhibition dedicated to photographer Dr Otto Lossen at the Mies van der Rohe House in Stuttgart.

In 1927, Dr Otto Lossen was given the exclusive commission to photograph and document the buildings of the Werkbund exhibition ‘Die Wohnung’ (The Apartment) in Stuttgart. His press photos, published worldwide, contributed significantly to the international reception of the Weissenhof Estate and continue to shape its perception to this day.

From 14 March to 19 July 2026, an exhibition at the Weissenhof Workshop im Haus Mies van der Rohe shed light on his little-known biography. On display are new, large-format and impressive reproductions of his Weissenhof photographs in high quality. Other works by him are also on display, some of them as original prints.
