« 33 Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe » in Firminy

(Re)discover the 33 European cultural routes passing through France as part of an exhibition on display in Firminy until the end of summer.

The Maison de la Culture (rue Nord and foyer-bar) and Room 7 of the church are currently hosting an exhibition dedicated to the ICCE – these cultural routes that link European countries through a shared heritage.

Through this exhibition, explore these unique routes, based on historic paths, notable figures or shared cultural themes. Created in 1987 by the Council of Europe, the ECRs now bring together 49 projects of excellence, reflecting the richness and diversity of Europe’s heritage.

From legendary routes such as the Way of St James to networks of iconic sites and original transnational routes, this exhibition highlights a true ‘cultural map’ of Europe, inviting everyone to explore what connects and unites us.

Travelling exhibition provided by the French Ministry of Culture.
