European Heritage Days 2025 at Le Corbusier sites

Le Corbusier sites are celebrating children during this year’s European Heritage Days, which will be held on 13 and 14 September in Germany and Switzerland and on 20 and 21 September in France.

Every year, the Le Corbusier sites get together to promote Le Corbusier’s architectural work and the values it embodies to the general public during the European Heritage Days. In addition to a rich and varied programme (special openings, guided tours, workshops, exhibitions, virtual reality, etc.), the Le Corbusier sites – brought together within the Council of Europe’s cultural route Destinations Le Corbusier: architectural promenades – have chosen to focus on young audiences this year.

Many activities are being organised to bring 20th-century architectural heritage to life in a fun and inspiring way:

  • ‘Reinvent your villa’ drawing competition at Villa Savoye in Poissy,
  • Riddle games at Cité Frugès in Pessac, Maison de la Culture in Firminy and Unité d’Habitation in Val-de-Briey,
  • Modulors hunt in the Unités d’Habitation in Rezé, Firminy and Marseille,
  • Treasure hunt and card game at Villa ‘Le Lac’ in Corseaux,
  • Discovery of Raphaël Galley’s Villa Motte, a playground inspired by Villa Savoye, in Piacé,
  • … and many other activities to discover in the Le Corbusier sites programme.
