La Cité se projette – Pessac
An anniversary event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Cité Frugès, scheduled for 19 October 2024.
On National Architecture Days, the city of Pessac celebrates the centenary of the start of construction work on the Quartiers Modernes Frugès in 1924.
The City is offering an exceptional series of 7 videos by contemporary artists projected onto the façades and windows of the houses in the Cité. 7 works linked to Le Corbusier, architecture, design and urbanism, presented in the manner of a happening through a poetic, aerial, acrobatic and juggling intervention on the roofs and terraces, in the gardens and streets of the Cité.
La Cité se Projette is designed to be a convivial, contemporary and original event. In the image of the neighbourhood, where the beautiful meets the functional and the human, this evening will touch the sensibilities of the public while remaining convivial:
– from 6pm, a foodtruck will be on hand for refreshments
– 7.30pm: a poetic and theatrical stroll and projections of works by contemporary artists
– videos on view independently until 11.30pm.
