Night-time visit to the Cité Frugès-Le Corbusier – Pessac
Meet at the Cité on Saturday 18 May 2024 from 8pm for the European Museum Nights.
Across France and Europe, museums will be keeping their doors open long after the sun has gone down for the 20th European Museum Night.
In Pessac, the town and inhabitants of the Cité Frugès are offering the public the chance to get off the beaten track and discover this neighbourhood designed by Le Corbusier, during a night-time walk where the illumination of the façades will reveal the work of the famous architect on shapes and colours.
The date is set for 8pm on Saturday 18 May 2024 at 4 rue Le Corbusier, where a guided tour through the streets of the Cité will begin. The play of light and shadow will highlight the façades, volumes and colours, to give a better understanding of the architect’s ‘purist’ period.
