From 6 February to 7 June 2026, discover the new photographic exhibition presented by the Le Corbusier Site in Firminy at Saint-Pierre Church.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To mark the 10th anniversary of the inscription of Le Corbusier’s architectural work on the UNESCO World Heritage List<\/a> and the 20th anniversary of the construction of the Saint-Pierre church, the Le Corbusier Site in Firminy is dedicating an exhibition to Lucien Herv\u00e9, a leading photographer of modern architecture and a loyal collaborator of Le Corbusier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucien Herv\u00e9 occupies a unique place in the history of photography: his approach is based on precise framing, stark contrasts and constant attention to form and texture. His images do more than simply document buildings; they show how architecture is experienced, traversed by light and inhabited by movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presented in the lower parts of Saint-Pierre Church, the exhibition offers a journey that connects Herv\u00e9’s photographs with Le Corbusier’s built work. This comparison allows us to understand how photography has contributed to the dissemination and interpretation of modern architecture, revealing details, spaces and atmospheres that are often invisible to the naked eye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u201cOdyssey of the Eye\u201d invites the public to rediscover Firminy from a sensitive yet analytical perspective, highlighting Lucien Herv\u00e9\u2019s essential role in the visual memory of the site and in the history of 20th-century heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
